21 Day Fast

Denial Fast 6am-6pm

The denial fast is a complete denial of food between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Under the
denial fast you are allowed to drink water. Seven days a week.

Media Fast

The media fast is a denial of all secular television, social media, videos, media channels like
YouTube, movies, radio and music. Under the media fast, you are allowed to watch the news and
Christian programming. You can also listen to Christian Music.

Daniel Fast

The concept of the Daniel fast is taken from Daniel 1:8-14. The Daniel fast is a partial fast where you
do not totally abstain from food intake, but you restrict your intake to vegetables, fruit and water only.

No Scial Media

During our season of consecration No SOCIAL MEDIA (ie Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter X, Snapchat, Pinterest, WatsApp etc). There are four additional fasting options that you may choose to do in addition to NO SOCIAL MEDIA:

Water Only Fast

The water only fast is a denial of all beverages except water. Under the water only fast your food
intake is not restricted.

Fast Instructions

1. Denial Fast 6 am - 6 pm

The denial fast is a complete denial of food between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Under the
denial fast you are allowed to drink water. Seven days a week.


2. Daniel Fast

The concept of the Daniel fast is taken from Daniel 1:8-14. The Daniel fast is a partial fast where you do not totally abstain from food intake, but you restrict your intake to vegetables, fruit and water only.

 

Guidelines for the Daniel Fast: no meat, no bread, no sweets, no drinks except fruit

juice and water

 

  • Foods we may eat:

    • WHOLE GRAINS: brown rice, oats, barley

    • LEGUMES: dried beans, pinto beans, split peas, lentils, black-eyed peas

    • FRUITS: apples, apricots, bananas, blackberries, blueberries, boysenberries, cantaloupe, cherries, cranberries, oats, figs, grapefruit, grapes, guava, honeydew melon, kiwi, lemons, limes, mangoes, nectarines, papayas, peaches, pears, pineapples, plums, prunes, raisins, raspberries, strawberries, tangelos, tangerines, watermelons

    • VEGETABLES: artichokes, asparagus, beets, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, chili peppers, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, gingerroot, kale, leeks, lettuce, mushrooms, greens, okra, onions, parsley, potatoes, radishes, rutabagas, scallions, spinach, sprouts, squashes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turnips, watercress, yams, zucchini, seeds, nuts, sprouts

    • LIQUIDS: water, juice

  • Foods we may not eat:

    • MEAT: no beef, veal, lamb, pork, chicken, fish, seafood or turkey

    • WHITE RICE

    • FRIED FOODS: including no fried fish or fried seafood

    • CAFFEINE

    • CARBONATED BEVERAGES: including carbonated water

    • FOODS CONTAINING PRESERVATIVES OR ADDITIVES

    • REFINED SUGAR

    • SUGAR SUBSTITUTES

    • WHITE FLOUR: including all products containing white flour

    • MARGARINE: shortening or high fat products

 
3. Water Only Fast

The water only fast is a denial of all beverages except water. Under the water only fast your food intake is not restricted.
